RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

If you need to return an item, simply contact us via email by submitting the request via CONTACT US form in the SUPPORT page with the order number and reason for returning the item.

We DO NOT offer an exchange / refund for Change of Mind on items or purchase by mistake.

We DO NOT offer an exchange / refund for late delivery/damage in transit by Australia Post. Please contact them directly to file the claim.
 

All items to be returned must adhere to the following conditions in order for a refund/ exchange of the returned goods to be processed:
 

  • Items to be returned must include all relevant documents (eg.warranty certificates, instruction manuals) tags, product accessories and must be returned along with the original packaging.
     

  • All merchandise to be returned must be unused. Any products returned with a sign of damage - original factory seal tampered or original retail packaging damaged due to mis-handling/mis- use while in the customer’s possession will prohibit refund/exchange of the relevant items.
     

  • Refunds will be processed within 10 working days once the returned goods have been shipped out to our designated warehouse.

Shipping Charges

We proudly offer international shipping to the United States, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and countries across the European Union. All applicable shipping fees are calculated and displayed at checkout for full transparency. Upon checkout, you will be automatically redirected to a country-specific page, ensuring accurate pricing and seamless currency conversion based on your location. For destinations not listed, we welcome you to contact our team directly to arrange customised shipping solutions.
 

Shipping Method

We deliver to both residential and commercial addresses, including PO boxes where applicable. For business deliveries, we kindly request that the company name and a designated contact person are clearly indicated to facilitate smooth handling.

All shipments require a signature upon delivery to ensure secure receipt. In the event that no recipient is available, a notification card will be issued by the carrier, and the parcel can be collected from the nearest designated postal facility or depot.

We operate through a global network of distribution centres and trusted logistics partners to ensure efficient and reliable order fulfilment. The majority of shipments are handled by reputable international carriers and include comprehensive end-to-end tracking. Depending on product type, availability, and sourcing location, orders may be dispatched from Asia, Europe, or North America—allowing us to optimise delivery speed and cost efficiency.
 

Delivery Timeframes

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within three (3) business days from the date of purchase. Please note that orders containing backordered or temporarily unavailable items may require extended processing times.

Should there be any delays, inventory changes, or unforeseen circumstances affecting your order, our team will promptly notify you via email with updated information.

For orders containing multiple items, shipments may be fulfilled either as a consolidated delivery or dispatched separately from different international warehouses, depending on product availability and origin. Full shipping details, including tracking information, will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

International Shipping Costs

Shipping fees are calculated based on the destination country, package dimensions, and total shipment weight. To obtain an estimated shipping cost prior to purchase, simply add your selected items to the cart and use the “Estimate Shipping” function available at checkout.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and other regulatory charges imposed by the destination country. These fees are not included in our product or shipping prices and remain the sole responsibility of the customer.

Please be advised that we do not have control over customs processes and are not liable for any additional charges, delays, or actions taken by customs authorities. Orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded due to refusal to pay applicable duties or taxes. In such cases, shipments may be abandoned, and no refund will be issued.

Furthermore, we strictly adhere to international shipping regulations and do not declare items as “gifts” for the purpose of reducing or avoiding customs charges, as this may violate applicable laws. For further clarification, we recommend contacting your local customs office directly.

By accessing or using Ausbasket (“Ausbasket”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and/or purchasing products through our assisted buying and international forwarding service, you (“Customer”, “you”, “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). These Terms govern all transactions, services, and interactions with Ausbasket.

1. Nature of Service

1.1 Service Scope
Ausbasket provides a specialised assisted purchasing and global forwarding service. This means:

  • You authorise and instruct us to source and purchase products on your behalf from independent third-party retailers, suppliers, and online marketplaces (“Third-Party Sellers”); and

  • We coordinate the handling, consolidation (where applicable), and international delivery of those products to your nominated address.

1.2 No Role as Seller or Manufacturer
Ausbasket is not the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer of any goods purchased through our service. Accordingly, we:

  • Do not design, produce, stock, or supply products;

  • Do not provide assurances regarding product quality, authenticity, safety, or fitness for purpose;

  • Do not guarantee compliance with local regulations, standards, or certifications;

  • Accept no responsibility for product defects, recalls, or inaccuracies in listings provided by Third-Party Sellers.

1.3 Scope of Responsibility
Our responsibilities are strictly limited to:

  • Executing your purchasing instructions with reasonable care and diligence;

  • Facilitating payment to Third-Party Sellers on your behalf;

  • Managing logistics coordination, including shipment and delivery arrangements.

2. Warranties and Product Liability

2.1 No Warranties Provided
Ausbasket makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, in relation to any products purchased, including but not limited to:

  • Product quality, durability, or performance;

  • Accuracy of descriptions, specifications, or images;

  • Compliance with safety, regulatory, or import standards;

  • Non-infringement of intellectual property or third-party rights.

2.2 Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • All warranties, guarantees, and liabilities relating to products rest solely with the Third-Party Seller and/or manufacturer;

  • Ausbasket shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from the purchase, delivery, condition, or use of any goods.

2.3 Liability Cap
Where liability cannot be excluded, Ausbasket’s total liability is strictly limited to the service fees paid in respect of the relevant transaction.

3. Returns and Refunds

3.1 Product Returns
As Ausbasket is not the seller of goods:

  • We do not accept returns, exchanges, or product-related refunds;

  • Any claims regarding defects, incorrect items, or dissatisfaction must be directed to the original Third-Party Seller or manufacturer.

3.2 Service Fee Refunds
Refunds of Ausbasket service fees will only be issued where required under applicable consumer protection laws or where we have failed to deliver the agreed service.

4. Orders, Payment and Title

All orders are processed strictly based on the details you provide. You are responsible for ensuring all product specifications, sizes, quantities, and delivery details are accurate and complete.

4.2 Title to Goods
Ownership (title) of goods passes directly from the Third-Party Seller to you at the point of purchase. Ausbasket does not take legal ownership or possession of products beyond logistical handling where applicable.

4.3 Product Availability
All purchases are subject to availability from Third-Party Sellers. In the event of stock unavailability:

  • We will notify you promptly;

  • Payments for unavailable items will be refunded, excluding any non-recoverable service fees already incurred.

4.4 Payment Terms
Full payment, including product cost, service fees, and estimated shipping charges, must be received prior to order processing.

5. Delivery and Risk

5.1 Delivery Estimates
All delivery timeframes are indicative only and may vary depending on supplier processing times, international logistics, customs clearance, and external factors beyond our control.

5.2 Transfer of Risk
Risk in the goods transfers to you:

  • Upon dispatch by the Third-Party Seller; or

  • Upon handover to the appointed shipping carrier.

5.3 Delivery Information
You are solely responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery details. Ausbasket shall not be liable for:

  • Failed deliveries;

  • Additional shipping charges;

  • Losses arising from incorrect or incomplete address information.

5.4 Logistics Network

6. Customs, Duties and Taxes

6.1 Import Responsibility
For all international shipments, you act as the importer of record and are solely responsible for:

  • Payment of customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees;

  • Compliance with all local laws, regulations, and import restrictions.

6.2 Taxes and Charges
Ausbasket does not collect or remit GST, VAT, or similar taxes unless explicitly stated. All such charges are separate from our service fees.

6.3 Customs Risks
We are not responsible for:

  • Customs delays, inspections, or processing times;

  • Seizure, confiscation, or rejection of goods by authorities;

  • Additional fees imposed by customs or regulatory bodies.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Ausbasket shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, revenue, data, or business opportunities;

  • Our liability is limited to direct losses resulting from a proven failure to exercise reasonable care and skill;

  • In all circumstances, total liability shall not exceed the service fees paid for the specific order in question.

8. General Provisions

8.1 Pricing and Currency
Prices may be displayed in USD, AUD, EUR, JPY, or local currency equivalents based on prevailing exchange rates. Prices exclude applicable taxes, duties, and third-party charges unless otherwise stated.

8.2 Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including but not limited to cases involving:

  • Suspected fraud or unauthorised transactions;

  • Pricing or listing errors;

  • Supplier stock issues or unavailability.

8.3 Website Content
All content provided on our website is for general informational purposes and is presented in good faith. However, we make no representations regarding its accuracy, completeness, or reliability.

9. Disclaimer

Ausbasket acts solely as an intermediary service provider facilitating the purchase and international delivery of goods on your behalf.

We are not the seller, manufacturer, or distributor of any products offered through Third-Party Sellers. Accordingly, we accept no responsibility or liability for the quality, legality, safety, authenticity, or performance of such goods. All risks associated with the purchase and use of products remain with the Customer.
