Product description Licorice root refers to the root of the herbaceous
liquorice plant. It grows in various regions of the world, including southern
Russia, the Mediterranean, parts of Asia and southern Europe. The liquorice
genus with the botanical name Glycyrrhiza glabra, also known as real
liquorice, is increasingly being used. As the name suggests, the liquorice
plant has a sweet taste. The root itself even tastes up to 50 times sweeter.
This is why the extract of the liquorice root is often used to flavour tobacco
